Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and light, with a large bathroom. The breakfast choice was excellent and the view overlooking the beautiful gardens was delightful. However, there was a slightly unsettling feeling as if someone had died in the room, which was a bit dismal. Overall, a great value for money stay.
The hotel boasts not one but two glorious sea views from the room's terrace, which was a welcome retreat in the heat. The rooms are beautifully equipped, very clean, and spacious, attractively furnished in a style that complements the Victorian era of the hotel. The service was top-notch, with a family-run business feel, friendly and knowledgeable staff who checked us in and provided a large room with sea views. The location, though a bit challenging to access without a car, is only a 10-minute walk to the lovely town and near Ventnor Botanic Garden, offering a friendly atmosphere. The dining experience was mixed, with excellent cooked-to-order meals but some dishes being dried up; the baguettes were a highlight. Overall, the facilities were sufficient, and the honesty bar was a nice touch. However, the price may not fully reflect the value for money due to some areas needing improvement.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a very good breakfast choice. However, the dining experience was a bit of a letdown. The quiet location was perfect for a peaceful night's sleep.
